Whenever I See Your Smiling Face

$725.00

I started this painting with a color scheme in mind and some hooked rug circles ready to go. I planned to paint numerous randomly-spaced circles and then incorporate the hooked circles within them. After the first three circles, I turned the panel from landscape orientation to portrait and discovered a goofy smiley face! It actually made me LOL and I left it propped up on my work table for a couple of days to enjoy the happy accident (see last photo).

Acrylic, burlap and wool on 24in x 36in cradled birch panel with 2” painted edges. Varnished and ready to hang.
