Wild and Unruly
I didn’t have a specific shape in mind when I starting the rug hooking process for these pieces; I just LOVED the colors in the wool strips. The shapes started to look flower-ish so I added the black stems, but I didn’t want the paintings to be too representational. I like how the “flowers” ended up getting tossed around by the movement and flow of the painting.
Acrylic, burlap and wool on two 12in x 12in cradled birch panels with 7/8” painted edges. Sealed with cold wax. Ready to hang.
