Brick Walls
I have always been a doodler and I am drawn to the tree motif because of my interest in genealogy and family trees. Like the rest of my Twists and Turns series, this tree is created with one continuous line that starts on one side of the trunk and ends on the other side… however, some parts of the line disappear off the painting and then return. This is a reference to the “brick walls” encountered by genealogists like me, when it seems impossible to find that next ancestor!
Acrylic paint and collage on 24in x 36in wood panel with painted sides.
